David Lloyd: Partner

David Lloyd has worked for H. Vaughan Vaughan & Co since he qualified in April 1975. He became a Partner in 1980 and Senior Partner in 1997. In July 2010, he became a Sole Practitioner. The firm is once again a Partnership with Anthony Mears becoming a Partner in July 2016.

David studied law at The University of Law Guildford, obtaining distinctions in Land Law and Contract. He specialises in Conveyancing, Wills, Probate/Administration and private client work.

He lives on a smallholding just outside Builth Wells with his wife Gill who breeds miniature Shetland ponies and Welsh cobs. His hobbies include riding and walking. He is a Board member at Wyeside Arts Centre.

Anthony Mears: Partner

Anthony Mears joined H. Vaughan Vaughan & Co in July 2015 and became a Partner in July 2016. He studied law at the University of South Wales and has worked in a number of local legal firms. Anthony was a local farmer until 2012 when he decided to pursue a career in law. He also has a degree in History from Oxford University.

He specialises in Agricultural Law, Conveyancing (residential and commercial), Auctions, land disputes and adverse possession of land.

Anthony still enjoys tending to his small flock of sheep in his spare time and has two young children which keep him busy outside the office.

 
 
 

 
 

James R. P. Davenport: Partner

James Davenport joined the firm in January 2021 having previously been a Partner in the Commercial Property department of a large national firm. He studied law at Swansea University and Cardiff University respectively, having originally completed a degree in Classics at Oxford University.

James specialises in all types of residential and commercial property work. He has also been appointed the Registrar to the Diocese of Swansea & Brecon.

James lives in Brecon with his young family and enjoys playing and watching all sports, having played rugby for Brecon RFC and currently playing cricket for Brecon CC and Marylebone CC.  

E. Ann Davies: Consultant

Ann Davies qualified in 1979 after studying law at The College of Law Chester. Ann ran her own legal business from 1982 to 2009. She joined H. Vaughan Vaughan & Co as consultant in January 2019.

Ann has a wide experience of several areas of law, and now focuses mainly on Probate/Estate Administration, Conveyancing (Residential and Agricultural), Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and private client work generally. 

Ann has three grown up children and her main interests outside the office are family, music and drama.

 
 
 

 
 

Timothy J. P. Davenport: Consultant

Tim Davenport has practised law in Brecon for over 40 years and now primarily focuses on Wills & Probate. Having served as Diocesan Registrar to the Diocese of Swansea & Brecon for approximately 30 years, he also has extensive experience in Ecclesiastical matters and the law relating to Charities. Tim joined as a consultant with the firm in August 2021.

 Tim lives in Brecon and has a longstanding love of sport. He is a member of the Marylebone Cricket Club and has an affiliation with many local sports clubs.

Vicky-L. Evans: Solicitor

Vicky Evans joined H Vaughan Vaughan & Co in 2016 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2020. Vicky studied Law at Cardiff University and completed her Trainee Solicitor contract here at the firm.

 Vicky focuses on Conveyancing (residential and commercial), Land Law, Wills and LPAs.

 When Vicky is not in the office you can find her baking and spending time with her spaniel Snoopy.
